What to expect during your healing session…

Reiki Session

When you receive reiki healing, you’ll lay down on your back on a massage table with pillow. Extra pillows and blankets are available for added comfort. To provide a sense of calmness and peace from the very beginning, soft soothing music will be played. Clients are recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing, as the session is performed fully clothed.

Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the client's body to help transport energy. Reiki may also be done with the practitioner's hands a few inches/centimeters above your body at the hand positions with no actual touch. The experience of Reiki is subjective, changeable, and sometimes subtle. The receiver may experience heat in the practitioner's hands, subtle pulsations where the practitioner's hands are placed, or streaming waves of vibrations throughout the body. Please, let your practitioner know prior to the session if you prefer, light touch or no-touch. The most common experience during Reiki healing is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation and calmness.

Aromatherapy

The client will be lying face down on the table, wearing nothing above the waist and having the feet exposed to leave the back and feet receptive to the oils. A light touch will be used to apply oils one at a time. A series of eight Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® oils are applied with a light touch along energy meridians and visceral contact points of the back and feet with specific hand movements and strokes. The essential oils help balance sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems of the body.

After the session, a client can expect to experience a deep sense of relaxation both during and after the session and an increased sense of calm, balance, energy and clarity for several days afterward. It is recommended that water in-take be increased after the session to help hydrate the body for an enhanced circulation of the essential oils absorbed by the body and to release toxins.
